Renew-Gather-Build

We’re excited about the new social learning membership site for Christians (go to https://RenewGatherBuild.3circles.org).  I recommend signing up as a free guest, as this will allow you to see our course offerings, but DO NOT ENROLL AS A MEMBER UNTIL YOU’VE CHECKED OUT OUR AMAZING STARTUP OFFER AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS ARTICLE.

The goal of our membership site is to build a community of believers, initially online, and then as real-world, intentionally built communities of born-again, conservative Christians who are among the 8 million who’ve left the church (or are considering doing so).

The name of our membership site couldn’t be more descriptive.

First, we must RENEW our mind.

This is a process that begins with God’s Holy Spirit (“Be not conformed to this world, but be you renewed by the transforming of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” – Roman 12:2).  We do that by accepting the truth’s Jesus taught, truths that differ from what Christianity teaches. We do this through the discipline of Christ-centered meditation, so we can come into God’s Presence, in God’s Kingdom within (Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is within you” – Luke 17:21), and receive God’s Living Spirit Word.   We accept that every human falls short of the glory of God because only God is truly and fully “Good”; this is why Jesus said to the man who called him a “Good teacher”, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.” (Matthew 19:17).  When we begin to understand with humility our place in this universe, we can choose to repent, ask God for forgiveness, and accept God’s gift of the empowering and guiding Holy Spirit.  This is what Jesus meant when He said no one could see or enter God’s kingdom without first being born-again by God’s Spirit.

Second, we must GATHER together in love.

Jesus said, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”  Christ’s first act of love towards his disciples was to call them out of the world, asking them to leave all and follow him. This was the first Christian community, for the Bible clearly reveals this: they ate together, traveled and ministered together, and they even kept a common purse, which is the greatest evidence they lived together as a Christian community.

Third, we must intentionally BUILD our own Christian communities.

This is for our own protection.  We are to be “In the world”, but “Not of the world”, just like Jesus: “The world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.” (John 17:14).  We read in the scriptures that Jesus regularly “Went out” to minister to the needs of others.  But the community life to which He called His disciples was a place of peace, where Jesus could find the support and solitude needed to recharge emotionally and spiritually.  And those who know God, receive continuous sanctification from the truth of God’s Living Spirit Word, the same Living Spirit Word that Jesus received from the Father.  But the freedom to spend meditative prayer time with God is not free, it comes with a price. And that price is giving up the geographically separate lifestyle enjoyed by the world (and almost all of Christendom!), a lifestyle that is preferred by most, wherein one is able to do whatever they want, whenever they want, without anyone outside their immediate family knowing.  From my own personal experience, I believe that is a small price to pay.  For, the two times I lived in Christian community were marked by amazing and miraculous events and a shared spiritual power that only those Christians who’ve lived in an intentional community of the faithful can know.
